A few months back I was running round the side of my Mother's house after her little dog and tripped on the hose and landed on my hands and knees.
It hurt like heck but thought grazed hands and knees was all I was going to have to show for the spectacle.
A week later I woke with a very sore lower back but after a shower and half an hour of walking around it came right.
Well I have put up with this every morning save about 15 days since that time and last week decided that time just wasn't going to heal this pain and I had better get it looked at.
Being totally put off physios after I had my last back accident 5 years ago (a prolapsed disc that 3 different physios worked on for 13 weeks to try to fix when no amount of physio would ever have fixed it, and not a one of them ever considered it might have been a prolapse! Within 3 days of seeing a fantastic surgeon he had operated and cut the prolapse out and I was at home walking, tentatively) I finally took the advice of my sister Caroline and visited a Chiropractor.
Now, I am the worlds biggest skeptic, and went in telling him so but was ready to try anything that didn't require seeing a GP and/or Physio.
So far it is all going well, the whole concept of the workings of the spine fascinate me and make me better understand just what I did, how come it is the cause of my pain and just how he is going to fix it. I have woken pain free since except for referred pain between my shoulder blades so we are on the road to recovery at long last.
That will teach me to be stubborn and try to rely on copious quantities of pain killers and my own body to heal itself.
Oh, and no photo, you really don't want to see my lower back!
