Time Out with a Virus

Me, not the computer!

Yes since Thursday I have been a bit under the weather and it is taking a while to get over. It is almost like a back to front cold.

It started with a sore chest, broken cough then on day 3 the runny nose and sneezing started!

Katie has been sick too, she had Thursday and Friday off school and goes back tomorrow.

So hence the lack of posts as until now I have not even been able to concentrate on much for too long, so as much as being laid up in bed reading a book might have sounded like a really fun option, not a scrap of reading in the whole time! I must say though that Thomas did oblige yesterday by reading a couple of pages of my book to me because I was having withdrawals from it but gave up when I fell asleep!

Thank goodness I am so lucky as to have a very supportive hubby and sons to look after the females of the house when we are down, they have been great. And seeing as how I have not been laid low for longer than a day for over 13 years with a cold/cough, it is a new experience for the boys to see their Mother sick with a bug, not to mention frustrating for me to be unable to get on with what I normally get on with.

I have been off work since I came down with it and will remain so until I feel up to it. I must say for the week before I got this I thought numerous times, as many different people came into the area I was working coughing and spluttering, "I sure hope I don't get what they have got" and what do you know? I did. Thanks for sharing! NOT!

So right now the boys are beavering away in the garage trying to finish off projects for the Cantamath Competition due in at school tomorrow (we will not mention the fact they have had 3 weeks to complete this activity because that would just be rubbing salt in the wound by an organised female, and I have to realise that is just how boys are!) so when I am up to it I will post the finished products.
