Today my nephew Nathan is 27. Last night we met him at a restaurant not far from his home for a lovely roast meal. The waitress brought him out a wee bowl of icecream with a lit candle in it for his birthday! To save him the embarrassment we didn't sing, he just blew it out with our best wishes going his way. His Mum and Dad are Line and Ged in Nelson, and they had asked us to take a present out to him from them so we met him half way for a meal. Was a very cold wet night, but we enjoyed his company and the reason to not have to cook!
