Twin 2 - Toby - is 13 today!

Well one party down and one to go! 5 boys came at 5pm last night to celebrate Toby's 13th birthday with him. They played outside until it got dark as was the first day it hadn't rained in over a week and the ground was mushy and wet but they played anyway and left their shoes at the door on their return inside. (It then rained in the night and I spent the morning drying their shoes so they could wear them home!)


















I went and picked up pizzas for tea and then they made their own desserts. (Toby is in the photo on at the back on the right in the white t-shirt with red wrist bands on - a birthday gift, Thomas is at the front right. Don't forget you can click on the photo to make it bigger!)


















I hired a Nintendo Wii for them to play sport on and Toby hired a couple of DVD's, Meet the Spartans and Rush Hour 3, which they watched into the night as they all bunked down in their sleeping bags on the lounge floor! They say they last saw the time at 2am. I last saw my clock at midnight then woke at 6.20am when one of them went to the toilet so was pleased they stayed quiet enough for me to get a reasonably good sleep! I did go back to sleep until 8am though, yay for me!

At breakfast time Al donned his raincoat and cranked up the Bar-B-Que to cook the bacon and sausages, while I cooked the hash browns, scrambled eggs and toast indoors!

The boys had a great big feed just after 9am and were chocca block and there was still so much left over! I guess I underestimated how much they would eat. I said bring them all back in 3 years when they are 16 and I bet I won't have enough food!


















We did the cake at 11am, complete with magic candles that relight once they are blown out and one of the boys, Elliot, said "Wouldn't it suck if the factory that made these candles caught fire?" I found that very funny! They then all headed home and I started the clean up.

Today is the day of their actual birthday so we are now having some quiet time before Thomas's party starts at 3.30pm. Two of the boys that were at Toby's party return for that, so I will blog Thomas's party later!

We gave Toby his present, he chose a 19" flat screen TV for his bedroom. He is in there now watching V8 Supercars. He is a motorsport freak, his whole room is about cars. I wonder where he inherits that from??? Certainly not me!
