Sunny Sunday at the Waimakariri River

This afternoon Al took the kids out to the Waimak River for a blat on the new motorbike he bought for the kids a few weeks back. He wanted them to learn to ride a bike with gears, just like he did when he was a boy. Actually I got my Motorbike licence the day I turned 15! That was my first mode of transport.

It was the boys 2nd time out there but Katie's first. So she just rode slowly round in 1st gear to get the hang of it, but didn't go very long as she couldn't get the helmet on her Hair and mess it up!























They had a great day and it was fabulous to see the sun! We have had some very cold, grey, damp days over the past 2 weeks of school holidays so was good to get a good dose of Vitamin D before they return to school!
