Today Katie turned 17 and for the first time in her life there was no "party".
My sister Caroline and her hubby Ged came down from Nelson on Business and stayed with us and we all went out for dinner, with my Mother included. (unfortunately Thomas was sick all day so he stayed at home)
It was a lovely day and Katie was spoilt by everyone despite not having a party.
I told her next year when she turns 18 we might just head to Sydney together for a weekend, and shop! Yay!

Happy Birthday Katie, looks like you had a great time. Hold your Mum to that trip to Sydney when you are 18, that sounds very exciting!
