Great catchup with an old friend

Had a phone call from my school friend Rochelle last Saturday, she was down in Christchurch for a conference and staying at a resort not far from our home. Al dropped me out there at 7pm so I didn't have to take my car and could enjoy a few wines. I enjoyed a fantastic evening with her, catching up on kids and family and old times. Al came back for me at midnight. What a great evening!

I also caught up with another friend from Wellington the week before, Megan, she was down here on holiday to catch up with lots of family and stuff. We had a great lunch date that lasted nearly 3 hours and caught up on all the happenings in each others lives. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of us together, too much talking, but none-the-less a great time was had.

Don't you just love it when you catch up with people you rarely see? It confirms that fact that you don't have to be in each others pockets to still have a lot in common and enjoy each others company. A great way to return to the land of living after being sick too. Yay for me!
